 Learning Detective Skills
We took imprints of our teeth on foam cups.

We then shared each others imprints to look at the similarities and differences.

It was fascinating looking at the different patterns our teeth made.
We are working hard on sharing our ideas and opinions and listening to others.

We did lots of different symmetry activities.
We had to draw half a symmetrical flower using shapes and then swap with a buddy.
We then had to draw the other half of their flower, it was very tricky!

More symmetrical flowers.

You really had to think about how to draw half a symmetrical flower!

Some of us got to complete a spider so it was symmetrical.
This was hard!

Working hard on a symmetrical spiders.

We have been learning all about symmetry.
We found some examples of symmetry in our gardens!
Jonathan bought quite a collection from his garden!

Ryan found symmetrical leaves too!

Tiffany had two symmetrical leaves to share.

Chris found a symmetrical leaf in his garden!

Hannah found some symmetrical garden equipment.
Very clever Hannah!

Grace found some flowers in her garden.

Gosh the children have adapted to the new learning environment so well. They are all trying new places to work and are loving the new layout.
For maths today we were making symmetrical patterns. We did this by cutting out symmetrical butterflies and then colouring them in while trying to make both sides look exactly the same. It was very tricky!
We were all very busy even our little visitor!
We all choose to work in different places.
Thanks Mrs Cridge and Mrs Johnstone for all your help when we painted our symmetrical butterflies. We couldn't have done it without you!
These amazing boys were the first ones to put our New Zealand puzzle together. They were feeling very proud of themselves. Great team work guys!
The finished masterpiece!
